About the publication

Critical Content
Covering Leading Global Trade Finance Trends

Succinct news delivery feeds all financial markets.

Each issue of ITF leads off with a front-page story mirroring major global trends impacting the trade and project finance teams at banks, insurers, law firms and other market participants.

The publication splits naturally into three segments. The first nine pages report the bigger financing and insurance stories from the preceding fortnight. Country risks are covered across the subsequent seven-page spread. The final 4 four pages round up shorter news items, including multilateral bank activity within the trade and project finance sector.

In addition to providing more first-rate content, ITF will widen its focus this year on two notable macro patterns which are impacting the trade finance community: the growing global move by Russia, China and other BRICS away from the US dollar, and the increasing glimpses of a new financial crash unravelling, potentially worse than 2008.

The most recent issue of ITF looked, among other items, at the buoyant capacity in the credit and political risk market, as well as the 2023 results of two major European export insurers, Atradius and SACE, alongside signals of shortening payment delays in the Chinese trade market.
